Strawberries
I started our baby, Chloë, on strawberries. She’s just a week shy of 9 months. Berries and citrus fruits are supposed to be last on the food schedule we received from Vancouver’s Womens Hospital; but I’m starting to become less cautious as time and lack of effect wears away at my heinously-conceived institutionalised paranoia. Damned lists. So I’m starting her on a ‘high allergen” berry three whole months early. She likes ’em.
I’m only posting this to remind myself later that I paid attention for eight long months. And that this proposed food schedule mattered at one point in my life. And to assauge, however little, the sense of guilt that something can go wrong now.
